About ALSS

History

ALSS commenced operations in 1989 when Dr Doug Fowler resigned his position as a Senior Research Scientist working for NSW Agriculture, and established an R and D program in order to develop ultrasound scanning as a viable commercial operation for sheep and cattle. The developmental work was done in association with Meat and Livestock Australia. ALSS has conducted scanning and training exercises throughout Australia, New Zealand and the UK. The service has developed a reputation for professionalism, practical application and accuracy.
